Outstanding service. Dave, Jim and Mark works well with me at all times when I require repairs to my auto's. They explain all the work needed to ensure my autos are safe to operate. Make suggestions on other items that affect the auto. The technicians he has working for him are awesome. Gets the repairs completed as quick as possible so I'm not without a auto for any length of time. Their doing a great job in keeping my 1992 Ford Bronco with 365.000 miles on the road, at times it puts their knowledge and skills to work. Great place to take your auto's.

Awesome people, they gave me an estimate and stuck right to it. Stayed in contact with me the entire time, and when one of the parts wasn't working correctly they replaced it for free!! Awesome people, super friendly, great place to get work done!!
I must say, I'm extremely impressed with their quality of service. Needed a new transmission for my truck. David hunted one down and had it installed in no time. There was a minor issue with the transmission from the manufacturer. David got on the phone and put in my warranty claim for me and got me another transmission shipped right away. I couldn't be happier with the service.
ALWAYS thankful and appreciative of the quality of service, the honesty and the professional workmanship I receive on each of the 5 cars I take to AAMCO Transmissions. A friend, who used to be my mechanic and was now in another line of work, shared with me that he would drive from his home in VA Beach to take his vehicle to AAMCO in Chesapeake because, to quote him "They'll do you right. I ONLY take my vehicles (for state inspections and other things) to those guys. They're honest and I trust them." Previously, in his former mechanic days I trusted him to do my repairs. Over the past few years, I've had all my major and minor car repairs resolved at AAMCO Transmission. I recommend them highly!
I had a clutch kit installed in an '06 Accord. I've been really happy with the workmanship and how quickly the work was completed. David and his staff are fantastic and really care about their customers.
Excellent Service! Finding a car mechanic that you can trust is very difficult these days. My husband and I decided to try Dave at AAMCO, and we are very pleased! Everyone is professional and Dave really took the time to explain what repairs our vehicle needed. He went above and beyond to save us money on the parts he had to order. We referred a family member shortly after (who knew she needed tons of work done). They ended up waiving a fee for her, in exchange for the labor she had to pay, since it was her first time there. Anyone can appreciate saving money! We highly recommend this place. For once, we can drop our cars off somewhere and not feel like we are getting ripped off, or lied to. It's worth it!
This is my first online review for anything ever but my experience was so great that I decided to take the time to share. My 06 G35 was stuck in high gear and would completely miss the lower gears when taking off from a complete stop. The solution given was explained in detail with options to price check the work that was being suggested. The team took time and explained the work being completed, showed me the workshop and work being completed. The shop is immaculate and well organized. If you have a car that means anything to you in need of repairs I would recommend going to AAMCO of Chesapeake 1st before taking you vehicle any place else. The level of professionalism and experience was worth every dime.

Great Job & Service! After 2 other transmission shops in the area both told me I needed a whole new transmission, they were able to fix my problem for about $300 by taking the time to figure out what the real problem was. Just a small electronic switch in the bottom of the transmission. THANKS!
Thank You So Much! Thanks for finding that horrible noise in my car! I thought the thing was about to explode. I would have never believed that a small piece of rock could make so much noise, but you found it and got it out if my brakes before it did any damage. I am glad it happened near your shop. I will be back for all the others services on my car.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! On February 10th I was headed to my new job at Chesapeake Regional Hospital, when I was a block away my car stared smoking really badly. I pulled into the AAMCO parking lot at about 6:30 pm and saw one guy in the parking lot. He looked at my car and told me I had a broken radiator hose. When I told him my situation, he drove me the rest of the way to the hospital and then he STAYED at AAMCO and fixed my car after they were closed. It was ready for me the next morning at 8:00 when I got off! WOW, I am impressed.
Saved our Vacation! While travelling to the Outer Banks for the 4th of July, our 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan jerked and would only go 35 miles per hour. We stopped at a nearby dealer and was told that the transmission was shot and we would have to get a new one after the Holiday. We called a rental car agency and told them our problem, but before they rented us a car they recommended AAMCO and told us it was easy to find by the Hospital. So we limped our loaded van there. The guys at AAMCO found an electronic problem and changed the part all in about 30 minutes. We made it to the beach and back to Baltimore with no further problem. VACATION SAVED! Thanks AAMCO and Avis (for sending us there).
Good service! My 2000 Silverado had a problem that another garage had told me would require a new transmission. Rob's team determined that it was a valve body(?) problem only. They did some corrections or updates that solved the problem for less than $500 instead of the $3000 the other garage quoted me. The other place said they didn't have a transmission expert who could work on a valve body when I called them back to complain. Check with AAMCO first before you let someone tell you you need a new transmission.
Best service I've ever had While visiting friends my truck started to make a noise, so I stopped in at your store, because AAMCO is a nationwide name. I was treated with respect from the Manager and the Tech. that was working on my truck. Thank goodness my problem was nothing to extensive, because I needed to leave for home the following day. Have recommended this AAMCO to all my friends in Virginia.

I was having issues with my transmission, brought it in. I got the diagnostic results back in two days. Gave them the go ahead on the repair, they found the parts needed and had it repaired in two days! Very fast turnaround. The price was good and I had a good experience with customer service from the first phone call. I’ll take my vehicle back to this place for any future repairs. Recommend 100%
